New stuff at OmgLia! Plus, my life.

I know it's been a while. But this is a good update, I promise! First, my life. I'm currently living and working in Orlando, Florida for Walt Disney World. It's temporary, and I'll be moving very shortly to Kansas City to do something completely different. Then I'll go back to college and resume my Project Runway style life of living, eating and breathing fashion design. That's pretty much it on the life part. (Oh- Flobee and I are together and doing great, and he loves me working at Disney because it means he gets to visit the parks for free!) Now, on to the new stuff at Omg Lia!

Secondly, I bought this item last week from Lancome.com:

It's called "La Rose Liberte", all french and sexy. It has a gorgeous rose in the center of the compact. It's $40, and I love Lancome lipsticks so I figured I'd give it a try. Well, it sucks. The compact, while beautifully pressed, is actually just full of shimmery, sparkly gold powder. It does nothing for my complexion besides making me look shimmery and shiny, which translates into oily. I looked like I got in a fight with my Urban Decay Baked eyeshadow, which is a much more attractive gold shimmer powder. It did not bronze me, and frankly it did not seem to make any sense- the only time I wore gold powder on my face was for a Jungle Themed party. The second I tried it I knew I was going to have to return it. Yuck! I think the product is discontinued. Next time I'll only be buying lipstick from Lancome :( what a dissapointment.

Valentine's Day!

So despite the fact that it looks like this will be the first Valentine's day since FRESHMAN YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL (yes, folks, no exaggeration) that I will be spending Valentine's Day single, it's still one of my favorite holidays. Why? Two words: pink and white. I LOOOOOVE the V-Day colors! I love walking into stores and having them FILLED with pink and white and red! Not to mention all the HEARTS! I love hearts! Ahhhhh. So, while I might not be cuddling up with my boyfriend this V-day (I might, however, be cuddling up with the ex-boyfriend with whom things are insanely complicated, in which case hey, at least I won't be alone) I've still got the V-Day spirit! In other news, I'm ridiculously busy, hence the lack of updating. I've been working on an Access databse for Omg Lia:

which is quite time-consuming, which on top of schoolwork (ahhhhh) and social life-having is putting a real cramp on my time management :(

I do have plans for the Holidays though - hopefully I'll get them all up and running during my Thanksgiving break in time to have a Black Friday sale! - which so far can be seen at http://omglia.com in the form of a new layout (still working on it though) and Gift Idea categories. I've got gift packaging in the mail and new items to post as well as new advertisements to make (ahhhh! head exploding!) anyway, I'll try to keep posted on what's new with me!
